Welcome
to the cutting belt
Our cutting belt combines two crucial functions of cutting technology: precise cutting operations and secure material transport.
The cut- and abrasion-resistant surface ensures a long service life. The tension carrier consists of a single layer of fabric – thus layer separation is ruled out.
Thanks to the high surface hardness and various Shore A hardness grades, the cutting belt can be optimally adapted to the respective application.
Areas of application of the cutting belt
Our cutting belt is used in a variety of punching machines and automatic machines as well as with different materials:
Machine manufacturer:
Schoen+Sandt Machinery, Ring, Hawkes, Atom, Freeman Schwabe, Bruno, Samco, USM, Sysco Machinery, Suteau-Anver, Huasen Machinery, Chiesa Artorige u. v. m.- materials to be punched
Sheet metal, rubber, cork, plastics, leather, MDF, paper, cardboard, foam, sponges, carpet tiles, textiles, composite materials, nonwovens, and many others.
The cutting belt - A Process and Conveyor Belt
cutting belt - Versions
The cutting belt is available in various versions.
The choice of the appropriate band depends on several factors: the type of cutting machine, the tools used, and the material to be processed.
Another important point is the drum diameters of the machine. The rule is: the greater the overall thickness of the cutting belt, the larger the minimum drum diameter must be in order to correctly guide the belt.
cutting belt - Structure
The specific properties of the cutting belts result from the interaction between the tensile carrier and the coating. This combination not only ensures maximum performance but also offers the possibility of straightforward repair.
- The tensile carrier is a fabric made of polyester fibers. The fabric absorbs the tensile forces and provides the cutting belt with the necessary stability.
- The polyurethane coating is firmly fused with the tensile carrier and is available in various hardnesses, colors, and thicknesses.
cutting belt with polyurethane coating (PU)
What makes our cutting belt special is its highly wear-resistant polyurethane surface, which offers several advantages:
- Simple on-site repair directly in production
- Trouble-free welding on the system, as PU is a thermoplastic material
- Quick resumption of operations immediately after endless shutdown or a repair
cutting belt with polyamide carrier
Properties and processing of the cutting belt
- Single-layer, wear-resistant polyester pull carrier on the running side
- Removal possible either by sliding or rolling
- Terminal connection by sharpened adhesive bond
- Heating time approx. 30 minutes, then 24 hours of resting time
- Result: higher strength in the final joint
cutting belt - end connection
All cutting belts can be welded directly on site, directly in the cutting machine or system. Two methods are available for this: welding using a heat press or manually with a hot air gun.
For preparation, the ends of the conveyor belt are processed, endlessly joined together in the heat press, and precisely aligned. Afterwards, the connection is made by welding with the appropriate temperature and the required pressure.
After completing the final connection, the cutting belt is immediately ready for use again and can continue to be used in production without delay.
Repair - simple and fast
Damages such as holes or cracks can be quickly and cost-effectively repaired by welding directly on the cutting machine. After a short curing period, the cutting strip is immediately ready for use again.
The repair can be carried out either by our service technicians or by your own trained staff. We are happy to show your team during the installation how to properly repair the cutting belt
You will, of course, receive all the materials you need from us.
